Improving Access to Learning: BSF’s 2018 Free School Kit Distribution in Rural Areas

In 2018, the Bringing Smiles Foundation launched the Free School Kit Distribution program in rural areas to address the educational needs of impoverished children in some of the nation’s most neglected regions. Recognizing the challenges these children face, the Foundation provided essential school supplies, such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and other educational tools—items often taken for granted in more affluent areas.

This initiative reflects the core mission of the Foundation, a nationwide volunteer network that empowers women, girls, persons with disabilities, and others to make meaningful contributions to society.

The Free School Kit Distribution Program in Rural Areas, which brought much-needed resources directly to the children while also inspiring a broader movement of social responsibility and community engagement, was made possible by the diverse group of volunteers who traveled to remote villages to personally distribute the school kits and interact with the children and their families.
